How to: Facebook Status
Grabbing a reader’s attention when posting a status can not always be the easiest thing. Maybe you post something really exciting one day, but no one catches your drift?
Here are 3 tips that will help when posting:

Tagging is used by typing this symbol (@) before a name of a person or a page. When you tag a person or page their name is automatically highlighted. This makes the name a hyperlink that directs the reader to the page or profile you’ve referenced.
Hashtags (#) have made their appearance on Facebook! Normally we would find them in the Twittersphere, but now they reside in almost every social network. Basically a hashtag is a tag embedded in a word or phrase that makes it simple for people to search for posts that have a common topic. This way conversations can be started easily.

Both of these added links add interest to your post and draw attention to your readers.
When you see a picture on a status your eye is almost instantaneously drawn to it. We’re Visual people. So when you’re posting your next status, add a good picture that relates to what you’re talking about.
Along with pictures, Links provide a visual image and also a hyperlink to the webpage you are referencing. Your audience can read more about your topic and also see the source you are getting it from.

Ask A Question
A great way to end a post is to ask your audience a Question. Make them feel like they are a part of what you are posting. Ask yourself “How am I helping them?” When you focus your posts on your audience, they are more likely to be interested in what you have to say.
